Lake Roosevelt Rainbows

admin Fishing Comments Off , , , , ,

Well we spent a few days fishing Lake Roosevelt, Washington. The water temps were in the upper 50’s still kinda warm for the trout fishing to really get hot. We fished leaded line and mon set-ups with the lead lines producing most of the fish. We were trolling flies and rapalas. We fished the arm and other areas around Sterling point.  We ended up catching 15  with the biggest going 22″ and a little over 4lbs. If you want to come and enjoy some winter fishing and catch some of these big Rainbows or Walleye give us a call.

Lake Roosevelt Fishing

Mel and myself fished out of Ft Spokane on Lake Roosevelt for 2 days. Fishing for Walleye and Rainbow was slower than normal. Water levels on the river needs to start dropping for the Walleye to really start moving up the Spokane Arm. We fished Norasada Blades and jigs with Jerry’s Lures jig bodies. We fished waters from 15ft to 40ft. Water temps were 36.7 degrees. I ended up catching the biggest Walleye of my career, a 12.4lb monster. Unfortunately we didn’t catch many fish over the weekend but sometimes quality beats out numbers of fish. Good fishing everyone….Checkout the photo section for pics of the fish under the Walleye pictures…
