Well we spent a few days fishing Lake Roosevelt, Washington. The water temps were in the upper 50’s still kinda warm for the trout fishing to really get hot. We fished leaded line and mon set-ups with the lead lines producing most of the fish. We were trolling flies and rapalas. We fished the arm and other areas around Sterling point. We ended up catching 15 with the biggest going 22″ and a little over 4lbs. If you want to come and enjoy some winter fishing and catch some of these big Rainbows or Walleye give us a call.
This special trip is designed for those clients who have way to much on their plate. The trip is designed to maximize a day fishing into a short one hour guided fishing trip. Many returning clients really love feeling the pole being almost ripped from their hand as they snag anything on this exciting fishing trip.
We launch out of Fort Spokane on beautiful lake Roosevelt in North East Washington State. The boat chosen for this high speed trolling is a master craft ski boat. This boat allows the fisherman to troll in excess of 50 miles per hour.
Once in the boat your guides will provide you with fishing poles already set for your quick fishing trip. We use a tremble hook that will really hang onto the bait at these higher speeds. Even the small fish seem large when hooked at speed in excess of 30 MPH. The excitement you will feel when the pole bends over and you are almost pulled out of the boat at that speed is a real adrenaline rush.

Scotty, Mel and myself made a trip up to the mighty Pend Oreille River, Washington for a day of Pike fishing. The weather was about as good as it gets for early March. Water temp was 37 degrees and clear. We fished spoons, rapalas, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and swimbaits. Mel started the day off with a nice 5lb fish but wasnt able to reproduce the catching part the rest of the day lol. Scotty on the other hand had the hot rod catching 4 fish all in the 5-6lb range. When it comes to me I had 4 follows but nothing that wanted to hit the lure. The river is starting to get better so now is the time to book a trip and try and catch your very own Pike. We released all fish unharmed so that they can hopefully spawn. Good luck fishing everyone
Mel and myself fished out of Ft Spokane on Lake Roosevelt for 2 days. Fishing for Walleye and Rainbow was slower than normal. Water levels on the river needs to start dropping for the Walleye to really start moving up the Spokane Arm. We fished Norasada Blades and jigs with Jerry’s Lures jig bodies. We fished waters from 15ft to 40ft. Water temps were 36.7 degrees. I ended up catching the biggest Walleye of my career, a 12.4lb monster. Unfortunately we didn’t catch many fish over the weekend but sometimes quality beats out numbers of fish. Good fishing everyone….Checkout the photo section for pics of the fish under the Walleye pictures…
