Had the chance to go fish Newman Lake with a couple of my clients for Tigers. The weather was in the low 80’s and water temp right at 70 degrees. We fished for about an hour when I caught an approx 30″ fish in about 8 ft of water, when all of a sudden my client said I got one too. We had 2 fish on at the same time. I handed my pole to his buddy so I could net the fish. His fish ended up going 40″ and was his first Tiger Muskie. After that action we fished for another 2 hours for one fish at or around 30″ again. After a hard day of fishing and only one of us not catching a Tiger, my other client who had not caught a fish all day finally hooked up on a nice 32″ Muskie right at the end of the day. All in all 5 Tigers boated in one day is a awesome day no matter what.
